Hi, my name is Kitty and I am the Disability Service Manager. I have worked at BSU since 2022 and before that I was a primary school teacher and SENDCo. I work closely with staff across the University to help raise awareness about our disabled students, how their disabilities impact their studies and what we as a University can do to mitigate against these. I am proud of the work that the team of Disability Advisors do because they help to affect change every day and contribute to BSU being inclusive.
Hi, I’m Joe, one of the Disability Advisors. I’ve been working as an advisor since 2022, primarily with the University’s autistic and neurodivergent students. I offer appointments and advice on adjustments, Disabled Students Allowance, and more, as well as occasionally visiting AutWell, the Autistic Wellbeing Group. Outside of work, I play wheelchair basketball, like to read, and drink lots of coffee. My favourite thing about my job is the people- I get to work with a lot of lovely students and colleagues and hopefully manage to help them out!
I’m Bev, a Disability Advisor in the team here at Bath Spa University. I have been in this role for 2 years. Before that, I was a Specialist Study Skills Tutor & Mentor, working with disabled students across different universities for 15+ years. My priority at work is helping to remove barriers so that disabled students can access their studies and enjoy their chosen courses. Outside of work, I love to run and practise karate; I also enjoy walking with my incredibly energetic cocker spaniel!
Hello, I’m Emma, a Disability Advisor within Student Wellbeing Services at Bath Spa University. I have been in this role for nearly 7 years. Outside of work, I love to play sports, including netball and cricket. I am also the proud dog mum of Georgie, one of the Bath Spa Care dogs.
Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am one of the Disability Advisors at BSU. I have worked at the university for many years and have been a Disability Advisor for nearly 9 years. My job involves implementing reasonable adjustments and helping to ensure that students are able to access their studies successfully. I really enjoy working with students and supporting them to achieve their academic goals; it is incredibly rewarding, and I have had the pleasure of meeting some really lovely people!
Hi I’m Luanne. I have been working at Bath Spa University since 2020 and I have been a disability advisor since 2023. I also am part of the team of sexual violence liaison officers at the University I previously trained and worked as a secondary English teacher. I’m passionate about my involvement with the Green Party. When I’m not advocating for climate, racial, social and economic justice, you’ll find me on the field as the Goalkeeper for Bath City Football Club. Additionally, I proudly co-chair the LGBT+ Staff network at Bath Spa University.
